Peacemakers look forward with Hope, because we know a Peaceful Future begins with what we do today. Our words and actions can create new possibilities for Peace and inspire others to follow our example. Peacework calls us to have the courage, compassion and creativity to recognize and use every opportunity to plant seeds that will grow into the beautiful harvest of Peace, both locally and globally.

In cooperation with the annual peace celebration Art of Peace - Tyler and in honor of the United Nations International Day of Peace on September 21, InSpiritry will once again publish a chapbook collection of poems. The 2018 anthology title and theme will be, Sowing Seeds of Peace. Submissions will be accepted from peace poets from around the world between May 1, 2018 and July 31, 2018. Art of Peace - Tyler co-founder and award-winning peace poet Anne McCrady will edit the collection, which will be released in Tyler, Texas, in mid-September, 2018.

Poems for Sowing Seeds of Peace will be accepted through Submittable. Each poet may submit one poem. Submitted poems should be 28 lines or less, in Times New Roman 12 point font. The chapbook format allows approximately 9 words or about 45 characters per line. Lines longer than that will break onto the next line and add to the line count. Submissions may be previously published, so long as rights have returned to the poet; please note the original publication with your submission. Submissions should include contact information including mailing address/city/state/country (to receive a copy of the chapbook), email address and phone number.

There is no fee for entering.  Submissions will be accepted from May 1, 2018, through July 31, 2018. The 2018 anthology theme is Sowing Seeds of Peace.  Accepted poems will be selected based on attention to the anthology theme, poetic mastery, compelling perspectives and passion for Peace.

Poets will be notified of selections by the end of August; accepted poets will receive a complimentary copy of the chapbook and be invited to a reading and anthology launch on Saturday, September 22, as part of the 2018 Art of Peace Tyler celebration.
